Weekend Review

Friday night I came home in the best mood ever. I was so happy to have a weekend free from work plus I drank a lot of coffee that day. Justin & I enjoyed our Chili's dinner then helped set up for REFRESH. After that we went to Kelly & Ken's house for a movie night. We watched Mission Impossible & I tried my hardest to stay awake. Alas, my efforts failed & I slept through most of it.
This is Justin hiding.
 or being a turtle...
Saturday morning we helped serve lunch at REFRESH.
Side note: my outfit was really cute. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it.
All the ladies loved Justin. I knew they would. We spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning for my grandma's birthday party. I must say Justin is a pro at vacuuming. Just another plus to add to the list. My favorite part of the evening was when my sister Kelly was praying for my grandma before dinner & my nephew Guy blurts out "BIRTHDAY" in a low growling voice. I could not stop laughing. Justin & I talked about it for the rest of the weekend.
Me & Hallie trying to figure out my camera.

This was so cute! My dad had my nephew Benton & niece Lorelai on his lap singing happy birthday. They are both 2 & both adorable. I love their little personalities. Lorelai dressed herself as you can se e. She was party ready. Benton then wanted to wear a tu tu as well. Of course Auntie Stacey had an extra one for him to wear. He loved it! He was twirling around, skipping. hahaha his parents weren't too happy with me. So unfortunately no pictures of ballerina Benton.
Sunday morning we woke up bright & early for church. Our premarital class this week was on communication. (something I struggle with) The class was going fine until Justin mentioned that one of likes to shut down & stop talking while the other likes to keep talking. The rest of the small group assumed that he was the one who shuts down so before they could go any further I threw myself under the bus. I explained that I am the quiet one. I was then attacked by the group for about 20 minutes. It was glorious.
Justin felt really bad because he had no idea they would do that. I found it pretty funny. I was so tempted to yell out "I don't want to talk about this!" haha but that would have totally prove their point.
After church we had a wonderful lunch at Olive Garden. My favorite! There was a cute little girl at the table next to us who loved Justin. It was pretty cute. Lots of funny things happened while we were there but that's not shocking because Justin is hilarious.
The rest of the day was spent watching Flight of the Conchords & doing homework.
We ended our wonderful weekend with frozen yogurt & a Hallmark movie. The movie was about a class of special education kids going to space camp...so great.

PS. I'm still waiting on those love stories people!
PPS. Is it Friday yet?

Friday! Holler!

Hello folks!
It's Friday! You know what that means?
"Yesterday was Thursday, today it is Friday. We we we so excited."
Genius lyrics by a talented 13 year old.
Jealous? Maybe.
Moving on.
Today I am in a fantastic mood because it's Friday & I don't have to work tomorrow.
Holler!
So, today I was informed I have to wear this lovely little name tag thingy until I sell a credit card to a customer. Problem is, my area of the bank does not involve anything to do with credit cards.
Sweet.
I'm going to be wearing this thing for the rest of my banking life.
Hooray!
More unnecessary attention to my chest.
Can't wait for those conversations.

Jones Design Company keeps my creative blood flowing.
Her post today about calligraphy inspired me enough to totally copy her & write my own.
I'm so productive it kills me.

Tonight is the big set up for REFRESH.
My awesome sister Jamie
(that sounded more sarcastic than intended, Jamie you really are awesome.)
put together an entire event based off a vision she had for Mothers.
I'm so excited to see what tomorrow brings.
I know God is going to do amazing things for the Mothers attending.
I'm so proud of Jamie for listening to God's voice & being willing to step out of her comfort zone to put together this event.
Jamie, you're the bomb.com
oh & shout out to my sister Kelly for assisting her in all this.
Talk about being blessed with amazing examples of Christian women being servents of God.
I blame my mom for being so involved in ministry our whole lives.
She set the bar for us in a powerful way.
Thank you mom!
Everything I needed to know about life I learned from Missionettes & Mrs. Scheffell.
True story.
Well that's about enough from me.
Can you tell I've drank an entire pot of coffee so far today??
Yikes!
Happy weekend!
peace.

yesterday.

So yesterday was a very very very very very very very very very terrible awful miserable day at work. (per usual) went home crying (as usual) made Justin listen to me whine on the phone while hyperventilating from crying (not so usual, I blame the pill). I came home, cried some more as I told my parents about my day. Then I kept to my plan. Bubble bath, nails, sleep.
But then something amazing happened...my very best friend in the whole world came over to help cheer me up. Gosh, I love him. He reminded me that he loves me & I'm not worthless no matter what I'm told otherwise. He's so encouraging & wonderful. I'd be lost without him. He was also a great reminder of God's faithfulness & perfect timing. Justin is my living, walking testimony that God does love us & always has a plan. Back when I was single & hating life I gave up hope. I honestly thought I would die an old cat lady (I'm allergic to cats so the dying part would have probably happened sooner than intended). Little did I know God was preparing the perfect man for me. Justin is more than I could have ever asked for! He was 100% worth the waiting, crying, frustration, & sadness. So I am believing that God's hand is in this job situation. He has to be.

Today I am filled with joy. For no other reason but the fact that God is on my side. He fills me with joy & no one can take that away from me. No matter how hard she tries. I just have to rest in the fact that God is moving. He's up to something. I just can't see it yet. So I am going to thank Him for what hasn't happened yet, for what I know He will do, for whatever plan He has. He WILL make it all come together for HIS GLORY. I can't Praise Him enough!

My plan for curing the Monday blues:

The second I get home from work I plan on taking a bubble bath with my new bubble bath soap from my cute boyfriend.
Then I will proceed to paint my toe nails & finger nails.
Followed by cleaning my disaster of a room.
Finishing off watching Gilmore Girls in my bed.
Most likely falling asleep by 8:oopm.

Rough life, huh?

In other news I'm planning something special for February & I would like to involve all of you.
So be prepared.
xo

Weekend Review

Happy Monday everyone! Has your Monday been crazy? Mine has. Is it Friday yet? Anyway, my weekend was decent. Not the best one ever but I still liked it. Friday night Justin & I went to dinner for our 6 month then went back to my house to watch movies. Saturday was crazy. I worked in the morning. Then I went to Justin's for a bit. Then I raced home to get ready for the wedding. We got lost on the way to the wedding. Arrived about 10 minutes late. I thought we had time to sneak in the back. I opened the door & there the bride was standing about to walk down the aisle. Needless to say Justin & I shut the door & ran. Sorry I missed your wedding Sarah! Worst friend ever award. Instead we ate dinner at Buca's & watched a movie. (we watch a lot of movies) We headed back to Milwaukee for the reception. We don't dance which made things a bit awkward but life is always fun with Justin. After the reception we went back to my house & guess what we did? Watched more movies! I bet you didn't see that coming! Unfortunately, Saturday night I got super sick :( Justin was the sweetest! He totally took care of me! He held me & got me water. If I wasn't dying at the time I would have just melted at how cute he was being.

Sunday I woke up late so we skipped church. Oops! Instead we had breakfast & watched Netflix. Then Justin had to leave :( he spent the day with his friend Sam. I spent the day with Taylor, Nik, & Jordan. It was nice spending time with Nik before he went back to school. Last night we went to Poplar Creek Church for a young adult service. The best part was finding their ping pong table! Most fun I've had in a while! I'm pretty much a ping pang pro.

Ps. I miss Justin. I won't see him until Thursday which is like an eternity in Stacey years. I miss our after class visits. His schedule changed this quarter so doing that has become pretty much impossible. Sad face. I honestly don't get how people do long distance relationships. I. would. die.

xo.

Wedding!

No, not my own. That won't happen for a while. Sigh. I am going to a wedding today for one of my childhood best friends. It's crazy seeing people get married that you still think of as 10 years old. It feels like it was just yesterday we had Mary Kate and Ashley movie marathons. I am so happy for her! The only problem is I have no idea what I'm going to wear! Normally I would have had something planned out in my head long ago but with the holidays I totally forgot all about it. Not good. So what am I doing about it? Online window shopping of course!

I'm going to attempt one of the following. Wish me luck!
ps I'll let you know if I catch the bouquet
;)

2. Pink nail polish.

5. Oatmeal in the morning.

6. Listening to my new iPod.

::SIX MONTHS::

Here is a review of the BEST SIX MONTHS OF MY LIFE:
It was basically love at first sight & I wasn't ashamed to admit it.

I shared my love story/miracle with pretty much everyone I knew. I never thought he would find out about this blog of mine until my lovely sister Kelly spilled the beans. Oh well, he ended up loving it. (Funny story, I just about died of embarrassment & threatened to delete the whole thing but he convinced me otherwise.)

I had never been happier! I didn't know how but every day with him got better. He gave me my first flowers ever! He also gave me an iPhone!! How did I luck out with such a generous boyfriend?! Since then he's given me so many other gifts including an iPod, the cutest coat ever!, & much more!

We had lots of adventures together! Including: my 21st Birthday, Lollapalooza!!, my first Brewers game, the drive in, & visiting his dad up north!

The whole summer was like a wonderful blur that went by fast & slow at the same time. None of it felt real! My real life prince charming came out of no where & made my whole life light up. Then September came & I got a little sad. Summer ending, Justin going back to school, & my sister left for Colorado.

I was convinced my fairy tale life was ending & I would head back to reality. But I didn't! Just when I thought Justin couldn't get any better he started surprising at night after his classes! Are you sure you're real Justin? There is no way I have found someone this perfect.

During our 6 months we have gone on some awesome dates! Our random Tuesday date, many trips to Yo Mamma's frozen yogurt, double dates with Kelly & Ken, double date with a cute young couple, a triple date scavenger hunt, a half blind double date, picnics at the park, many movies at the theatre, Bon Iver in Chicago!, & many more. I. Am. Spoiled. As much as I love all of our dates out, some of my favorite memories were nights spent in. Watching all the Harry Potter movies, snuggling, watching Felicity, eating Jimmy Johns, slapping each other in the face with sour rope candy, & laughing till we cry.

We also had our fair share of family time! He helped build our deck, many weekends spent with my parents watching Netflix, FFF day, Zoo trip, Birthday parties, Holidays, babysitting, & random family game nights. Justin has become part of the family. It's like my whole family is dating him! They all love him so much. I am so thankful for that.

6 months since this conversation: "so do you like want to be my girlfriend?" "yeah I guess" I am still floating on air. Justin is my own personal testimony of God's faithfulness. I was convinced I would die an old maid. Little did I know God was preparing the PERFECT man for me. When we were both ready God brought us together. I can't wait to see where this love adventure heads next!
I love you Justin!
