a weekend to remember

My weekend was fantastic. Everything I had planned turned out great! I was shocked because normally my plans never happen the way I'd like them to.

My parents were out of town this weekend so I had the whole house to myself (which is always nice). Friday night, Justin came over for a little 4 month celebration. We watched Harry Potter (almost done with all of them!), ordered Noodles, ate LOTS of candy, & maybe slapped each other in the face with airhead sour belts. My whole weekend was fun but Friday was definitely my favorite. Justin is probably the weirdest person I know & I love it. Nothing about us is normal or typical & it makes things so much more fun.

Saturday was the big surprise triple date I've been planning for months (literally haha). My friends Sara & Meghan helped me plan a scavenger hunt for our men. We got together last week Thursday & mapped the whole day out. It was so much fun planning & coming up with ideas. Then on Saturday the boys thought they were meeting us at Meghan & Cullen's house, when in fact, that is where their hunt began. We sent them all over. At the end they met us at Fuddruckers where we bought them dinner. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun! After dinner we went back to my house where I showed them my mad skills in balloon making & scarf juggling (a post for another time haha). Then we watched movies & ate the rest of the candy at my house. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such great people. I had so much fun & I hope we can do this again some time! Funniest part of the day: trying to leave a balloon with a clue in it at Toys R Us & having the manager chase us outside. He just wanted to inform us the next time we do this we should give him a heads up so he's more prepared. More prepared to give 3 guys a balloon, really?
I'm so glad the day was a success & the boys had fun!

maybe we went shopping while waiting for the boys ;)

Sunday, Justin came over for breakfast & 30 Rock. We were in the middle of our show when my brother in law Ken just walks in unannounced. We look in the backyard & my other brother in law is setting up a tree stand. My life is so weird. Justin & I went out there to check it out. Maybe I took some pictures too.

it was a beautiful fall day
such a model.
oh hey Jon.
hey hotstuff ;)
i love him so much.
After our tree stand adventure we were off to the big half blind double date I mentioned. We all met at T G I Fridays for dinner (after the packer game of course. rolling eyes) Sam & Lauren really seemed to hit off right away! I was worried that the blind date aspect of it would be awkward but I think it helped a lot having Justin & I there to spark conversation. During dinner we had been joking about telling the waiter it was Sam's birthday so they would sing to him & get a free dessert. When Justin went to the bathroom he actually did stop in the kitchen to tell him. It was hilarious when they all came out & sang to him. Sam just smiled & played along. It was great! Then we went to Target to waste some time before the movie. All of the Halloween candy was 70% off so Lauren bought a huge bag of it & snuck it into the theatre. We then  proceeded to chuck candy at Justin every time he left & came back. I think the date was a success & I know numbers were exchanged. I'm excited to see where things go!

Well I hope you all had a great weekend as well! This Friday is Veterans day meaning it's a short work week. Hallelujah!
Happy Monday!
