Love Story by Justin Kobus

Happy Valentines day!!
You all are in for a TREAT today! My handsome, smart, amazing, funny, talented, super hot boyfriend wrote our love story for today. I am not a cryer, but the tears were flowing when I read this. He is just the very best ever ever ever.
Enjoy!

a lolololololove Story!

Stacey and I met through a friend at the Ave but we didn’t start hanging out until our groups of friends started to overlap. Our conversations at that point went a bit like this: me: "hi Stacey! ".  The day of the Summer Solstice Festival in downtown Milwaukee my friend Mark and I decided we would bike there on our new Fixie Bikes.  We were going to watch some of the local bands and meet some of our friends.  We arrived and there was Stacey and her friend Nik.  Stacey greeted us by saying “do you guys always dress like this?” I hadn’t really up until then but I sure do now.  I quickly noticed something about Stacey that stood out to me even more than her big blonde hair: Her laugh.  It wasn’t weird, odd, obnoxious, or anything like that. It was cute. Plus, it almost always followed the things I would say.  Never have I ever found someone who loved and understood my odd sense of humor as Stacey does.  As I mentioned before I went to see the bands but what I ended up doing was chasing after Stacey. Wherever she went I was sure to go too.  After the festival I drove with Stacey to my place and everyone met us there to hang out, it was one of my favorite nights ever.

I wanted nothing more than to hang out with this girl who just thought I was the funniest guy on the planet, it didn’t hurt that she was so cute either.  However, me being the semi awkward guy that I am wasn’t really sure what to do from here. I didn’t fully realize that I liked Stacey as much as I did until she left and I never asked for her phone number.  Stacey and I didn’t hang out right after this either. It was almost to the point where she didn’t think that I liked her at all but I really did.  I had never really done this before so I had to ask Mark how to go about getting it from her.  He was nice enough to arrange a hangout for all of our friends including Stacey so I would have another opportunity to hang out with her. My excuse to get her number was Summer Fest and it worked!  We went to see Panic at the Disco but really we saw each other.  It was yet another great night.  We both liked the same movies so I decided to take a leap and invite her over to my place to watch movies with me.  We did what we still love doing now, watched movies. We would watch movie after movie till the wee hours of the night.  She never wanted to leave and I never wanted her to leave.

I quickly realized that I could tell her anything. She was so open and accepting of who I am and was and she still is. As weird as I can be I never scared her off. This girl would just laugh and laugh and laugh.  One thing that really made me think that we had something was when our friend Sara said  "Justin is over there being a big goofball and that would drive most people nuts but Stacey's just sitting there right next too him with a big grin on her face" My feelings for her grew quickly until I knew I was in love.  I knew that I would do anything for her. No matter what happened or what she said I wanted to be there with her and her laughing.  It’s not a sappy love story or anything like that but Stacey is to me what love is. She’s patient with me, kind to me, she doesn’t boast and isn’t over proud, she is always tuned into what my wants and needs are, she isn’t easily angered at me, she doesn’t keep track of all of the dumb things I do, she’s always there for me and she trusts me. Oh and did I mention that she loves to laugh at the things I say???  I couldn’t ask for anything more than this. She truly is a blessing from God.  She challenges me in my faith and has helped me grow in my relationship with Christ.  Plus, she has an awesome big family which I have always longed for growing up as an only child.

I am so excited to see what God has in store for the two of us and one thing is for sure, she’s stuck with me.
